Another great day for a troop. As always we were a big hit of the day. This event is one of those that reminds me of why we do what we do. Yes we get to play "dress up" and play in George's sandbox but this event reminds me that we get to take that love of Star Wars and help out others who are less fortunate. Sometimes that help is as simple as putting a smile on the face of a young child, in this case we were putting smiles on the faces of children with Down syndrome. There were others who got joy out of our appearance but we were there to help those with Down Syndrome and that made those smiles that much more special.
We both had to leave before we found out the totals for money raised this year, email has been sent to get this info.

Sorry, Just saw your post. Been trying to get this info from the coordinator and looked online earlier but I had no luck, Thanks for finding this, we spent Aprox 2.5hrs each at the event.

I wanted to make sure this was added into the year's totals....
so I put in the hours as 2.0 each....
which is kind of my default hours for a troop...
even when an event might be a little shorter I still figure there is suiting up time etc...
