Sept 18 2010
Saturday Sept 18th 2010 5 members of the Midwest Garrison and 2 helpers participated in an event at US Cellular Field during the Chicago White Sox game.
We arrived at about 11:30am, parked and went in the Media Entrance to the field and were lead through the offices of the White Sox to a conference room we were given to use for staging.
On our way we got to see the World Series trophy Chris was really stoked to see that.
We dropped of our gear and were brought to the Comcast area of the stadium where we would be trooping. Was really cool seeing the place before the crowds came in. we took a few pics and headed back to suit up.
Once suited up, 2 of us went to one level, while 2 others went to another level. On the lower level we met fans, shook hands and took many photos. On the upper level we helped with the prize wheel and took photos on the green screen with fan.
We were treated to food and drinks and they made a $500 donation to Make a Wish in our Garrison's name for our participation.
Please find below the confirmation for the $500 donation made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation on behalf of the Midwest Garrison. Thank you again for helping to make our event a success!
Thanks!
Sophie
