Costume workshop-Pilsen 10-25-09
Lionel even played us a tune on his Italian bagpipes...
"Ode to Joy"
First and foremost...
Thank you
Neil Auer
Anthony Day
Jen Loomis
and
Kathy Van B for coming out yesterday.
I am glad that we were able to solve your snap dilemma Neil
and
also glad you and Jen found some things you could use as Sax Leather.
Just like Sax, Lionel's Studio is something that one needs to experience in person...
I usually feel 100% more creative just walking through the door. The photos above are just a small portion of that which Lionel has stashed everywhere in his building and in several other garages. Lionel sees possiblities in all things and never likes to throw anything away.
Thanks to Neil and Jen for bringing some goodies...and glad you liked the Sloppy Joes...made from sauce home grown and home canned from my vegetable garden.
At any rate....
again...
thank you for coming!
a few photos:

and
Steve....
see the Ghostbusters Jumpsuit in this photo....
Lionel sent it home with me...it is a XXL...(there is no spot on the jumpsuit...that is just the camera flash)
do you know of anyone who could use it in your Ghostbuster group?
He picked it up at a resale shop for $10.00....

SWEET!!! The funny thing is that I've been meaning to get a new jumpsuit for my self ( I've had about 100 too many cookies!). Since the GB "community" isn't very well organized, I don't know any local people that do it...yet(I'm looking at you Remo). However, I'll be more than happy to hang onto it! Thank you!

That's the first thought I had when I saw the photo. Orb!!! It is ironic that it is a picture of a GB costume and notice the location of the dust/orb. LOL!TI4438 wrote:That's not from the flash Phyllis,it's an orb!
If I'd have known how bad the Bears were gonna get bent over yesterday,I woulda hung out with you guys for sure.
See Ed I told you you should come. What the hell happened to the Bears! I watched 2 minutes and figured I had better things to do.

for those wondering what I was making at the workshop:
A couple hours with the dremel, and it was a hit come trick-or-treat time
(battery operated LED's light up the funkin- all of my pumpkins are the fake ones- all the time spent on carving them, I feel bad having them rot; plus get to use them year after year)

Buy the Funkin now (as most have them down to $10 or less), figure out what you want and come up to my place. I charge $1000 plus expenses.TK3446 wrote: Really cool! Great job. Can I put my order in for next year?
Seriously, a couple sodas and maybe a pizza to split while I do it would be fine. Takes 3-4 hours to do (longer if I have to keep going in to see where things STILL need to be taken off)

Next Sept or Oct you should have a Pumpkin carving party. Everyone brings a Dremel.psykojedi7956 wrote:Buy the Funkin now (as most have them down to $10 or less), figure out what you want and come up to my place.
