E-11 blaster for sale at Target in Shorwood il RT 59

I was at the Shorewood Target on RT 59 just south of Plainfield. In the Star Ward dept they had 5 to 6 e-11 blasters Stormtrooper guns. These are the white ones that need a little playing with to make them look good to troop with. A coat of black primer is a good start.
Cost was $19.99 each.

I think there is one on e-bay all painted up going for $100.00 ...? dont quote mo on that.

There not too hard to stumble across every now and then. It's only when you are specifically looking for one that they seem to vanish from everywhere.

Yeah, what Matt said. Also, if Hasbro ever decides to stop making them for a year or something, you know that they're going to become really, really hard to find. That's what happened with the Rebel Fleet Trooper blasters that they made a few years ago. They're just nerf guns, but once painted, they're close enough to the right size and shape to be good enough to troop with. It's been years since Hasbro made the RFT blasters, though, and they're sold out all over the internet. Which makes for a lot of unhappy rebels and Imperial Navy troopers. Building a DH-17 from scratch is a LOT more work than painting a Hasbro toy.

While the Hasbro E-11s aren't movie accurate, they are close enough (once painted black) that they can pass casual inspection while interacting with people at an event. Plus, there are lots of places where you can buy resin kits that are actually molded to fit perfectly over areas of the Hasbro toy to make the gun a lot more movie-accurate.
I shudder to think what's going to happen to all of our potential new recruits if they ever completely discontinue making the stormtrooper rifle toys...
